Introduced in 1983, the AR125 was Kawasaki's popular offering in the 'learner' category. It was styled like Kawasaki's larger machines and powered by a state-of-the-art water-cooled engine featuring a novel induction system (RRIS) incorporating both disc and reed valves. Boasting Uni-Trak rear suspension, cast alloy wheels, and a front disc brake, the AR125 was as well specified as many much larger and more expensive models. Launched as the 22bhp AR125A, it was soon joined by the AR125B, the latter restricted to 12 horsepower for the UK market.
This AR125B was acquired by the vendor in 1998 at 4,181 miles (MoT on file) and currently displays a believed-genuine (but not warranted) total of 4,337 miles on the odometer. It was last taxed in May 1999. A most rewarding project that will require recommissioning to a greater or lesser extent, the machine is offered with a V5C document, SORN papers and the aforementioned MoT. A rare opportunity.
