A rare 'Royal Naval Crown' mascot, by Gieves Ltd, Old Bond Street, London, 1930s,

signed 'Gieves Ltd 21 Old Bond St' around the base, nickel-plated bronze, in the form of a Royal crown with representations of alternating British galleons and sailing ships of the past, 1.5 Inches high, mounted on radiator cap.
The design that this mascot is based up on, was adopted by the Admiralty in 1903 after a design by Evarard Green, then 'Rouge Dragon' at the College of Arms.
