Footnotes

See: The Mail on Sunday, July 20th 2003, page 34, this mascot is reported as being 'The Long Lost sister of Rolls-Royce Silver Lady'.

Currently, there are two diverse schools of thought about the origins of this design. One believes that it was a prototype produced at the same time as the Spirit of Ecstasy, in 1910-11, the other believes that it was produced for the 1922 20hp car, but rejected because of the 'water-catching' abilities of it's design.
