Footnotes

Designed by Eric Neale, the Jensen 541R was a variation of the 541 and is a beautiful and rare GT that was produced between 1957 and 1960. Powered by a low-revving 4.0-litre Austin straight-six engine, the 541R also had lightweight construction, and thus performed exceptionally well. Not only that but it was also incredibly luxurious and comfortable, with leather seats being fitted as standard. It is believed that only 193 541Rs were made, and as a result the car is now exceptionally rare.

Supplied new by Charles Follet Ltd, this 1959 541R is a beautiful example that's presented in silver with a burgundy roof. Inside, there is also burgundy leather interior to match. Overall, the car is in very good order with both the bodywork and interior presenting well. A full body-off restoration has previously been undertaken in Italy in 2010. Purchased by the vendor in 2017, the car has been used sparingly and was also known to have been serviced 2017. It is reported to be running and driving, but following this period of inactivity, recommissioning is recommended prior to returning the car to active use.
