*Desirable 2+2 Convertible model with overdrive
*Left-hand drive
*Well restored example

This fine 'big Healey' is left-hand drive BT7 (2+2) model built for the North American market, despatched from the factory to San Francisco, California in February 1962. The desirable overdrive transmission, adjustable steering column, heater, laminated windscreen and wire wheels are among the original items of equipment listed on the accompanying BMIHT certificate. Re-imported into the UK circa 1996, the Healey was then stripped to a bare chassis and bodyshell and rebuilt with new floor panels, sills and outriggers. New interior trim, carpets and hood were fitted also, while other noteworthy features include a tonneau cover and an electric radiator cooling fan. Immediately after the previous owner purchased the car in 1997 the mechanicals were totally rebuilt and the engine fitted with a new cylinder block (complete short engine with pistons, crankshaft, etc). The gearbox was rebuilt and the speedometer was replaced, hence the low recorded mileage. During the current ownership the Healey has received all new body panels, and a complete respray in stunning blue over white coachwork complemented by cream leather with blue piping. The car has been stored in a heated garage in its present Healey Owners Club members ownership and used sparingly, on sunny days only. Accompanying documentation consists of the aforementioned BMIHT certificate and an old UK V5 registration document for the age-related mark 'XFO 226'. The car comes with a host of new spares including a chrome rocker cover and chrome wire wheel with new tyre.
