*Restored over three years

Just 846 left-hand drive XK150S 3.4 models were built and this example was exported to the USA at the end of 1958, finished in cream witb red trim and fawn soft top. It is believed to have had two previous owners, in Ohio and Kentucky. Its late owner contacted Austin, Texas-based Classic Jaguars (USA) Inc about having an XK150 restored, leading to this car being sourced in Kentucky. At this point it is said to have been compete and in good drivable condition, and with no signs of damage and little rust, and from this starting point the plan of a restoration to the highest-possible standard was settled on. Work included a colour change to green over green. The car returned to the UK with its owner in 2003, the owner often carrying out work himself, but handing it over to experts when required. In 2006 the engine was re-built by VSE while HRG Classic Jaguar overhauled the suspension in 2007. In 2011 the flywheel was machined and balanced and the starter motor repaired.
This XK150S 3.4 comes to the sale having enjoyed much expenditure in recent years. In left-hand form it would make an ideal mainland European tourer or, indeed, classic rally entrant.
