The early 1930s was a time of severe economic depression and to suit these hard times every motorcycle manufacturer had to have a selection of 'utility' models in the range. Fortunately, Terrot already offered an extensive range of two-stroke lightweights and in 1928 had added a 250cc sidevalve single to the line-up: the Model O. At the end of 1932 the O Series was replaced by a new, even cheaper four-stroke lightweight: the PU, built initially with a 225cc engine and from the summer of 1933 with one of 246cc. Production continued until 1940, by which time there was a better-equipped 'luxury' version in the range alongside the standard model. A very pretty older restoration, this charming Terrot Model PU is offered with assorted correspondence, purchase receipt (1983) and French Carte Grise de collection.

Le début des années 1930 connut une très grave crise économique qui obligea tous les constructeurs de motos à proposer dans leur gamme une série de modèles utilitaires bon marché. Heureusement, Terrot qui offrait déjà un beau catalogue de motos légères à moteur deux temps avait ajouté dès 1928 une monocylindre latérale de 250 cm3, la Type O. à la fin de 1932, la série O fit place à une quatre-temps légère encore moins chère, la PU, produite au début avec un moteur de 225 cm3 et, à partir de l'été 1933 avec un 246 cm3. La production dura jusqu'en 1940, époque où fut proposée une version mieux équipée parallèlement au modèle de base. Produit d'une très belle restauration ancienne, cette charmante Terrot PU est accompagnée d'un dossier de correspondances, du certificat de vente (1983) et d'une carte grise française de collection.
