A limited edition monochrome photograph depicting the 1900 Gardner Serpolet,
limited edition of only 7 pieces, offered for sale from the Automobile Club de France, the image depicts the Serpolet, founded in 1899 in Ménilmontant by Leon Serpolet, the company of the same name was one of the first factories in the world to manufacture steam cars on an industrial basis. Always faithful to this mode of propulsion, Serpollet was the keenest defender in the fight against the internal combustion engine. The manufacturer and his wife are seen here aboard their Serpolet.
